Mumbai, June 13, 2025 – Skoda India has unveiled the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq, a luxurious seven-seater SUV that blends style, safety, and advanced technology. Launched on April 17, 2025, the Kodiaq starts at Rs 46.89 lakh for the Sportline variant and Rs 48.69 lakh for the top-end Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim (ex-showroom). Bookings are open, with deliveries set to begin on May 2.
The 2025 Kodiaq boasts a refreshed design with sleek LED DRLs, C-shaped tail lights, and a bold butterfly grille. Built on the MQB37 platform, it’s 59mm longer than its predecessor, offering a spacious interior with 281 liters of boot space (expandable to 1,976 liters with rear seats folded). The Sportline variant features a sporty blacked-out grille and all-black interior, while the L&K trim exudes elegance with chrome accents and Cognac leather upholstery.
Inside, the SUV impresses with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and multi-color ambient lighting. Comfort features include powered front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, a panoramic sunroof, and a 725W 13-speaker Canton sound system. Safety is top-notch with nine airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS, EBD, and parking assist.
Powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine delivering 204hp and 320Nm of torque, the Kodiaq pairs with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It offers a claimed mileage of 14.86 kmpl (ARAI-certified). While it misses advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and Dynamic Chassis Control, its premium build and practicality make it a strong contender against the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster.
