MyKasih Stores in Perlis 2025 & Recipient Verification
The MyKasih program, a Malaysian government initiative, is designed to alleviate the financial burden on low-income and B40 households by providing subsidized aid for purchasing essential goods. This program operates through the use of MyKad, where financial allocations are directly credited to recipients for use at designated MyKasih stores. These stores, identifiable by the prominent MyKasih logo, include major supermarkets such as Mydin, Giant, Econsave, and Lotus’s (formerly Tesco), as well as smaller retail shops and convenience stores to ensure wider accessibility, particularly in rural areas. The selection of these stores ensures recipients have convenient access to a variety of essential goods at affordable prices.
How the MyKasih Program Works
The MyKasih program, basic necessities using their MyKad at participating stores. The aid is credited monthly, starting from January 15, 2025, for approximately 700,000 registered recipients under the eKasih database, including those in Sabah, Sarawak, and the Federal Territory of Labuan. Recipients can use their MyKad to buy approved items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, eggs, bread, personal hygiene products, and, starting May 1, 2025, household cleaning products. The program ensures transparency and efficiency through a cashless payment system, preventing misuse and ensuring aid reaches those in need.
